They saw the young child with Mary his Mother

and they fell down and worshipped him

Whosoever shall inscribe the names of thy Saints

may enjoy health of body and protection of soul

All kings shall fall down before him;

all nations shall do him service

By God’s favour we rejoiced in the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ;

so, too, we announce the glad tidings of the Resurrection of our Saviour

That he might bring us out of darkness

into his own marvellous light

The Lord shall bless thy going out

and thy coming in

Re-dedication of the Shrine of King Charles the Martyr

11:00 am  Sung Mass

The  Shrine of King Charles the Martyr, which used to stand at the back of the south aisle of the Church, has now been completely restored, and will be re-erected in St Clement’s on Saturday, Jan. 28, close to St Charles’s feast day on January 30. The Shrine will be in the St John’s Chapel, a space more suited to the size of the statue, which was carved in Norfolk, England by the famous sculptor Anton Wagner.

The Mass and Rededication of the Shrine will be Sat., Jan. 28 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. Members of the Society of King Charles the Martyr and the Royal Martyr Church Union are especially welcome.
