Daily Intercessions
+ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Amen.
Let us pray for a greater devotion to S. Mary, and for a wider practice
of her invocation. Let us give thanks for the privilege of these
evening devotions at this Shrine of her clemency.
Let us remember all those who have ever prayed at this Shrine or offered
their novenas here.
Let us pray for all those absent from us who are joining their prayers
with ours at this time.
And let us join our intentions with those offered this evening at the
Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Holy Mary, Pray for us.
Holy Mother of God, Pray for us.
Holy Virgin of virgins, Pray for us.
Our Lady of Clemency, Pray for us.
Our Lady of Walsingham, Pray for
us.
Mother of the Church, Pray for us.
Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
Let us pray for our parish, its life and work, for the parish priests;
for Sister Elaine at S. Anna’s; for the members of our congregation,
and especially those who are ill, or in sorrow, or in any other anxiety.
Lord, in thy mercy. Hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the Shrine of Our Lady of Clemency, and its Guardians
[remembering especially tonight...],
Lord, in thy mercy. Hear our prayer.
Special Intentions for the Days of the Week
Let us pray tonight for...

of our parish. For the Guilds and Sodalities of our parish, and for
the organists, choir and acolytes.
Tuesday
For the children of our congregation; the Junior Communicants of the
parish, and for the children of the world, especially those harmed by
war, violence or vice.
Wednesday
For the All Saints Sisters of the Poor, especially the Reverend Mother
Catherine Grace, for a blessing on their common life, and for an increase
of vocations. We pray also for the Sisters’ ministry to the wider
church.
Thursday
For greater devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and increased attendance
at Mass and Holy Communion. For more visits to the Tabernacle. For the
Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament, and for our parish ward dedicated
to S. Saviour.
Friday
For a spirit of deeper penitence in the Church. For all confessors and
penitents, and for the return of the lapsed to the Sacraments.
Saturday
For the Guild of All Souls, its members, both living and departed. For
the parish ward of the Guild, and for a holy death for all faithful
Christians.
Lord, in thy mercy. Hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the members of the Friends of S. Clement's, [remembering
especially tonight...],
Lord, in thy mercy. Hear our prayer.
We continue our prayers for the Sick, remembering especially,
Lord, in thy mercy. Hear our prayer.
We pray for the intentions of this Novena:
[insert novena intentions and any birthdays or anniversaries]
Lord, in thy mercy. Hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the faithful departed, especially for the departed priests
who have ministered at our altars, for the departed benefactors of our
parish whose bounty we enjoy, for the departed members of our congregation,
and especially those whom we have in annual remembrance during this
week:
[Here insert the names of those on the weekly anniversary list &
in the Guild of All Souls Chantry]
Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord.
And let light perpetual shine upon them.
+ May they rest in peace.
Amen.
The Novena Prayer
BLESSED Mary, Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, glory of the Church and
Mother of all Christians: of the generous love and courtesy wherewith
thou hast ever served the people of God, be pleased to take our needs
to Him. As we kneel before the Throne of our Eucharistic King, do thou
bow before His presence in Heaven and plead our cause for us, and by
thy mighty intercession obtain for us the petitions which we ask of
God during this Novena, that Jesus may triumph over the prince of this
world, and souls be blessed and saved, and God glorified in us all for
ever and ever. Amen.
O JESUS, our Friend, our Master, our hidden Guest, accept our adoration,
our devotion, our life as an unending act of supplication for the intentions
of our Continuous Novena.
Amen.
The Angelus
+ The Angel of the Lord brought tidings unto Mary:
And she conceived by the Holy Ghost.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among
women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
Be it unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary… Holy Mary…
And the Word was made Flesh:
And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary … Holy Mary…
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God:
That we may be made worthy of the promises
of Christ.
Let us pray.
We beseech thee, O Lord, pour thy grace into our hearts, that as we
have known the Incarnation of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, by the message
of an Angel: so by his + Cross and Passion, we may be brought unto the
glory of his Resurrection, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
