Clement’s is a historic Anglo-Catholic parish in Center City,
Philadelphia, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, and a part
of the global Anglican Communion. Our commitment to the proclamation of the
catholic faith and to public worship of the highest quality draws members
and visitors from both near and far.
To understand all that we do, it is perhaps easiest to say that the catholic
faith teaches us that the creation is a gift from God and reflects His glory.
In our public worship, we return our praise to God with the greatest possible
reverence in thanksgiving for all that we have been given. We believe wholeheartedly
that the traditional worship and devotional practice of the Christian Church
speaks as clearly and powerfully today as it did a millennium ago. We feel
that this belief is confirmed by the diversity of people who make their home
here.
Our corporate life revolves around the daily sacrifice of the Mass and the
liturgical hours of prayer. We gather frequently for devotions and informal
fellowship and make every effort to welcome the stranger among us.
